About me

I’m Ollie Reardon, currently 18 years old and studying at Staffordshire University currently doing a degree in Computer Games Programming. Currently located in the North West of England in the United Kingdom, I’m looking to become a professional video games programmer in the near future. Of course, my main hobby is video games programming but I also have an interest in Web Design as well as being a keen guitarist for many years now.

About this blog

This blog was primarily designed for me to post interesting articles that I find from around the internet, it was also planned to be just a journal just documenting several things going on in my life, last year I started a small project called Me and my Eee (or MEEE) for short which is a casual review of cool things to try out on your Netbook, which covers Operating Systems, cool applications to awesome accessories for your tiny little machine.

For Christmas 2010, I was lucky to recieve a Viewpad 10. A Tablet PC with great Netbook hardware inside (Intel Atom N455, 2GB of RAM, 16GB SSD, Intel GMA 3150) which came dual booted with Windows 7 and Android 1.6. From here I searched to find a suitable Linux Distribution which would work great with my Tablet.

Unfortunately, there was nothing available which would work smoothly. But I searched and searched to gain Knowledge of how Linux works, spoke to people with the insight knowledge. Now I’ve discovered so many useful tips and pieced them all together in this blog for the rest of the world to discover!

Currently, my blog is still used for reporting mainly Linux Tips and Gaming news, but I am always looking for inspiration that interests me which hopefully others would find interesting too!
